CA-MAX® is TerraFusion’s latest product innovation, a concrete additive proven to increase strength and reduce shrinkage of concrete mixtures. The product is currently available in its ‘beta’ formulation for custom projects, and is in advance testing programs with a number of concrete suppliers around the world.
Tests were conducted at the Stallone Laboratories in New York. Initial tests were conducted
using an ASTM C150 Type III Portland Cement. This cement was chosen because of its nature — it accelerates strength gain; seven-day results are typically realized in three days and twenty-eight day results occur within the seven day range. Since time was of the essence, these initial results would provide insights to CA-Max’s potential.
Four test mixes were conducted as follows:
Mix 1: Control
Mix 2: 3.0 fluid ounces of CA-MAX added per 100 pounds of cement
Mix 3: 6.0 fluid ounces of CA-MAX added per 100 pounds of cement
Mix 4: 12.0 fluid ounces of CA-MAX added per 100 pounds of cement
